Is it permitted to take photographs in the museum?
You may only take photographs if you do not use a flash or a tripod. If you would like to take photographs, please request a photo badge at the reception desk. The photographs are for private use only.
I am looking for an original location to take my wedding photographs
Are you looking for an original location to take your wedding photographs? For the small fee of € 50, you may organise your wedding photo shoot in our beautiful building and on our phenomenal roof terrace. Please contact m@leuven.be to arrange the photo shoot.
Can the museum judge the authenticity of an artwork that is in my possession?
The museum makes no statements on the authenticity of artworks. We recommend that you contact an art dealer or auction house to judge the authenticity of your artwork.
May I visit the M-shop or the roof terrace without an entrance ticket?
The M-shop is located in the antechamber - the reception area, which is freely accessible to everyone. The beautiful roof terrace at M is only accessible for people in the possession of a valid entrance ticket.
May I take my bag into the museum?
Bags that are smaller than one A4 sheet of paper may be taken into the museum. We kindly request that you store larger bags in our lockers (using a € 1 coin, which you can retrieve later). Rucksacks and umbrellas are prohibited in the rooms of the museum.
May I make use of the museum library?
As it is being moved, the museum library is not accessible currently. If, nevertheless, you would like to know whether a particular work is part of the library’s collection, please contact m@leuven.be.
How can I order reproductions of artworks in the collection?
If you would like to order a photograph of an artwork in our collection, please contact us via m@leuven.be, or ring +32 (0)16 27 29 29. The price of a digital photo (300 dpi), for private use and not for publication, is € 25. The prices do not include 6% VAT. The applicant must contact Sofam/Sabam him/herself to request permission to use works by living artists or artists who have died in the past 70 years. How can I find out if a particular artwork is on display?
If you like to make sure that a particular work is on display, we recommend that you contact m@leuven.be prior to your visit to M. If you would like to examine an artwork for research purposes, please contact the curator via the information desk.
