By car | Leuven is located near the junction of two major motorways (E40 and E314).

| By bus | There are regular bus connections between the station and the Bondgenotenlaan (1 zone). From there, M is less than a 5-minute walk away. |
| By train | There are easy rail connections to Leuven from Antwerp, Bruges, Brussels, Gent, Hasselt, Liège and Ostend. M is approximately a 15-minute walk from Leuven station. |
| By tour bus | There is a temporary stopping place for tour busses (maximum 15 minutes) on the Monseigneur Ladeuzeplein. Tour busses can park free of charge on the Sint-Jakobsplein and at the Bodart car park. |

Benefit from the M-bus pass to get to M
Hop on the bus of 'De Lijn' and visit the museum at an advantageous admission rate. Everyone travelling to and from M by bus can use this pass. The pass costs € 7 (standard entrance fee to M: € 9) and includes:
- Your journey to and from M
- One entrance ticket to M
It is for sale on board the bus or in the De Lijn shops in Leuven and Brussels.
