M-shop

M-shop

You will find all kinds of interesting things at the M-shop: our own publications, high quality art books, original children’s books or a fun souvenir of your visit to M. In short; nice things for yourself or gifts for somebody else.

The M-shop is located on -1 and is freely accessible. You are free to browse the selection at your leisure, even if you don’t have an entrance ticket to the museum. The opening hours of the M shop are the same as the opening hours of the museum.

Our M-bassadors are given a special treat at the M-shop. All M-bassadors receive a discount on catalogues and monographs. What’s more, silver, gold and platinum M-bassadors receive a year-long subscription to the periodical Reflecties completely free of charge.

The Museum and the Collection

Leuven’s museum has received the very short name M. In this case, the following maxim applies: the shorter the name, the more intense the experience of a visit. M is the result of valuable cultural heritage and dynamic innovation. The Vander Kelen-Mertens Museum and the historical collection have encountered an exciting new museum complex and dynamic museum operations. All this is nestled in the town, with its sights set on the world.

This book introduces you to the history of the collection and guides you through Stephane Beel’s architecture. In addition, 50 of the finest masterpieces from the museum’s collection are presented in a fresh, pleasant manner, featuring beautiful illustrations of works by Constantin Meunier, James Ensor, Dirk Bouts, Michiel Coxie and many others.

Publications about temporary exhibitions

Recently the first comprehensive book on Mika Rottenberg’s oeuvre was published, in partnership with De Appel, Amsterdam, Nicole Klagsbrun Gallery, New York and M – Museum Leuven. Authors: Linda Williams, Hsuan L. Hsu, Efrat Mishori, Mika Rottenberg, Ann Demeester, Heather Foster, Raqui and Leona.

Gifts

The M shop also sells fine souvenirs of your visit to the museum. Amongst other things, you will find postcards with images from the M collection, notebooks, quills and the completely unique M shopper bag.
