Het zijn niet toevallig ook kernelementen van de schilderkunst, namelijk het materiële en het lichamelijke, die vandaag worden onderdrukt. Geyskens wil met zijn schilderijen en collages onze blik – gegijzeld door vooroordelen en beeldstrategieën – als het ware bevrijden. Fragmenten blote huid, spatten verf, geschilderde houtnerven, een flits van een naakte vrouw of gemorste melk zijn niet meer tot één logisch beeld te herleiden, maar klitten samen tot een onmiddellijke plastische beleving.</SPAN>
