David Claerbout (°1969, Kortrijk) studied painting, but incorporates photographic and filmmaking techniques in his work. His early video installations explore how we experience our surroundings and the way time passes. The theme of waiting takes centre stage in this twilight zone between film and photography. M was showing two video projections, including Kindergarten Antonio Sant’Elia, 1932 (1998). The exhibition also includes a selection of his drawings from the Cera collection.
