M’s group exhibition ‘Alias’, spanning five rooms, explores a growing phenomenon in recent art history: fictional artists. It assembles some 80 works from national and international public and private collections for the first time. Piece by piece, they illustrate the strategies contemporary artists use to merge fiction and reality, and how they confound our perception of the truth.
