Due to works taking place in the museum galleries, the Mee-maak-kamer and the presentation of M-resident Elise El Yousfi will be inaccessible to wheelchair users from 26 October to 19 November. They will be accessible to everyone again from 20 November.
The Cera Collection comprises a representative sample of important Belgian works of art created since 1945. Cera and M have been working on the collection since 2012. Every year M plans to mount an exhibition that showcases a theme or artist.
The first of these presentations starts with the work of Guy Mees (1935-2003) whose sculptures, works on paper, photographs, installations and films relate to the medium of painting and to the space in which they are shown. Mees’ poetic yet playful oeuvre is juxtaposed with works by other artists from the Cera collection.
