M-resident Alice Van der Wielen-Honinckx
The M-residency of Alice Van der Wielen-Honinckx
M is offering Alice Van der Wilen-Honinckx a month-long residency at Cas-co. With her installations, performances and essays, Alice investigates the adverse effects of our accelerated society.
As a choreographer, performer and dramatist, she often departs from our senses to question the psychological and physical side effects of our increasingly fast-paced society. Her work encourages you to slow down and teaches you to listen to that already there simply by doing nothing, actively.
In her work, she counters hyperactivity and excessive stimulation and just creates time and space that makes the natural radiance of things tangible. A shared experience, in which she involves the performer, the viewer and the environment.
An excellent example of this is the continuous performance 'Creatures at rest', this year to be seen during the Playground festival at M.
