FACILITIES

From family trails in the museum galleries for families to cups of coffee in the museum café-annex-shop to picnics in the garden - there are 1001 places to spend time together at M.

Facilities for families with children

M welcomes families with children. We have designed several family trails, both for the collection presentations (6 to 12 years) and for the temporary exhibitions (8 to 12 years). All courses start in the children's corner in the lobby, where you will also find assignment cards . There are also folding stools available for children to sit on if they are tired or that they can use for drawing boards. Buggies are allowed in the halls - you can borrow one from the buggy point near M - and the toilets have changing tables.

We have also designed family courses for St Peter's Church: one for children aged 4 to 6 and one for children aged 6 to 12. There are three language versions available: Dutch, English and French.

Garden

During M’s opening hours everyone is welcome to visit the museum's garden. You can come and have a picnic, relax or soak up the sun - whatever you want. In the summer, we even put our beach chairs outside.

For children, there is a climbing wall and a barefoot path. On summer weekends there is the Museumspelstraat: then we provide life-size toys and organise guided activities in the garden together with Huis van het Kind.

There are also regular events held in our garden. The best known is the music and culture festival M-IDZOMERa collaboration between M and concert hall Depot.
