This year, M and the Brussels arts centre Moussem exchanged artists from their residency programme for the first time. The Leuven-based artist Kaïn Walgrave recently spent a few months working at Moussem, where he pursued his research into art donation as a performative act.

Leuven – Mission City

Leuven was awarded the Mission City quality label by the EU, in recognition of the efforts of multiple partners to make the city more climate resilient. Leuven was one of just 10 cities whose Climate Contract was immediately given a positive evaluation. M is also doing its bit: and we are continuously upgrading our ecological efforts.

On being an artist

In order to help artists on their way, M, in partnership with Kunstwerkt, is organising ‘Parcours’: four sessions that cover different aspects of being an artist. How do you find your way as an artist? What about the business side? How do you compile a portfolio? And what is involved in putting together an exhibition?

M’s art lab

The aim of the art lab is to give pupils the opportunity to experiment with art and artificial intelligence. Young people aged 12 to 18 have their imagination sparked by a work from M’s collection, subsequently shaping their own creation with the help of AI.
