ARDS

M coordinates and finances ARDS, an international network on medieval and renaissance sculptures. This is no coincidence as we have an exceptional collection from that period.

ARDS stands for Association for Research and Documentation on medieval and Renaissance Sculpture. The name is a nod to Willem Ards, a 15th century sculptor from Brabant. Among other things, ARDS organises colloquia and runs a website which also serves as a database for researchers. M also houses the extensive ARDS scientific library.
