ICOM also has substantive groups, which deal with specific museum themes, for example glass collections or public outreach. M is the national correspondent for one such group: the Committee for Education and Cultural Action, in short CECA. Every year, CECA holds a conference at the premises of one of its members. In October 2021, M was the guest museum. The conference was devoted to the theme of co-creation. Museum staff from all over the world travelled to Leuven to take part in lectures, workshops, discussions and fieldtrips.
