ICOM CECA-conferentie | Digitaal dinsdag 26.10

Van 25.10 tot 30.10.2021 ontvangt M je graag binnen én buiten de museummuren voor de jaarlijkse ICOM CECA-conferentie. We starten met twee digitale dagen vol interessante lezingen, onderzoeken, best practices awards en twee interessante keynotesprekers. Niemand minder dan Nina Simon en Pat Villeneuve komen spreken over het thema van de conferentie: participatie binnen en buiten de museummuren.

14:00 – 14:30 | Keynotespreker Pat Villeneuve | Museumeducatie en ondersteunende interpretatie  - bezoekersgerichte tentoonstellingen

    Pat Villeneuve is hoogleraar en directrice kunstbeleid aan de  Universiteit van Florida. Dankzij een Fullbright-beurs doet ze in 2021 onderzoek naar museumeducatie in België. Pat publiceerde en presenteerde al uitgebreid over kunstmuseumeducatie, tentoonstellingen waarin de bezoeker centraal staat, systeemdenken en paradigmatische verandering. Momenteel werkt ze samen met Ann Rowson Love aan een 'Dimensions of Curation Competing Values Framework', een model om intentionele curatoriële praktijken te bevorderen.

      Pat bedacht de term edu-curation om een gemengde, inclusieve benadering van het maken van tentoonstellingen weer te geven en richtte de edu-curation programma's op (MA en PhD) in het Departement Kunstonderwijs van Florida State University. In 2009 werd Pat Villeneuve uitgeroepen door het National Art Education Association (NAEA) tot museum educator van het Jaar.
